Black in the Future
Reporter and host of Black In The Future News, Jackie éLan dispatches her Robo-Clone—equipped with a full “drone crew”—to capture footage for an upcoming feature on Reparations for Black Americans. But while patrolling the neighborhood, the drone stumbles upon what appears to be a domestic dispute.
The scene: Latoya Johnson, a frustrated white woman, hurling the belongings of her Black Robo-Clone, Model No. 10Four, onto the front lawn. As tensions escalate, the drone crew malfunctions mid-recording, forcing the Robo-Clone to improvise a live broadcast with help from a bystander’s high-tech goggles.
What begins as community surveillance quickly transforms into a raw, unfiltered exposé—uncovering how Reparations were implemented, who truly benefited, and why the very Robo-Clones meant to restore balance are now being seen as society’s latest menace to society.
